King E.D.O Drops His 2026 Album "Get Off the Game"

From a chance meeting at ADX to more than two years of collaboration, King E.D.O brings his world together on "Get Off the Game."

I remember being at ADX back in 2020, about eight months into the pandemic, when it was still the main focus everywhere. ILOVEMAKONNEN and I were finishing up a session in our studio space and about to head outside to smoke. On our way down, we heard music coming from the warehouse and realized there was a show happening.

And honestly, the music was so good.

Makonnen and I looked at each other with a look of confusion, then naturally walked over to the crowd of about 10 people. We caught E.D.O's last song, "Sally." After his performance, we had a chance to chat and invited him upstairs to the studio. We all ended up hanging out for a couple hours that night.

During the winter of 2019-2020, Makonnen and I had been hosting creative sessions, inviting artists from all over Portland to meet up and jam. We were both trying to find new artists to work with who had their own sense of authenticity. There wasn't some big plan for every session. We wanted to get people in a room and see what happened / what was created.

From ADX to "Get Off the Game"

Fast forward six years, and E.D.O, Finlay, and the rest of the Bender Bros are creating community and making an impact of their own.

E.D.O's new album, "Get Off the Game," has collaboration written all over it. Produced by King E.D.O, Finlay, KAR.MAR1, Yellow Trash Can, Thayerperiod, and Xjay, the project brings together Portland artists like Bocha, SuaveTheJedi, and Ashden Rain alongside heavy hitters like ILOVEMAKONNEN, Casey Veggies, and Jitta On The Track. More than two years of work went into making this album what it is today. It's a true collaboration that lets you into E.D.O's world, through the people around him and the music they've made together.

The lead single, "Big Talk," featuring Docta J, comes with high energy and rattling lyrics that will leave you laughing or saying "OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH." It gives you a first taste of what E.D.O and everyone involved have been putting together.

Thinking back to that night at ADX, it's cool to see where those connections have gone. We walked downstairs to smoke, caught one song, and ended up spending the rest of the night getting to know someone we wanted to create with. Six years later, here we are talking about an album with this many people coming together.
